What will you do?

As a Full-Time Professor in Computer Science, you will join one of the leading educational institutions in Latin America, consistently ranked among the best universities worldwide, recognized for academic excellence, educational innovation, and international projection.

This position arises from the need to incorporate an exceptional analytical and interdisciplinary profile to serve as an academic leader and mentor in financial challenges, with the goal of strengthening the Quantitative Finance line, data engineering, and the development of intelligent investment strategies within the School of Engineering and Sciences.

From this role, you will contribute to the education of highly competitive students, the strengthening of the academic body, and the institutional positioning of Tecnológico de Monterrey at both national and international levels, through academic practice aligned with global standards of quality, impact, and relevance.

How will you do it?

Your main challenges will be:

• Data Science and Engineering in Finance: Guide students in acquiring, cleaning, memory management, and structuring intensive financial databases using tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and IPython.
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Develop and implement Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms (Scikit-Learn, Keras, TensorFlow) aimed at detecting financial patterns, portfolio optimization, and asset management.
• Algorithmic Trading and Financial Platforms: Lead programming, calibration, and backtesting evaluation of automated trading strategies, analyzing market microstructure and innovative digital assets.What are we looking for?

• Academic Credentials:
  • Mandatory Master’s and PhD degrees, preferably obtained at internationally recognized institutions, in one of the following specific lines:
    • Computing, AI, and Data Science line: Computer/Information Sciences, Computational Mathematics, or Information Technologies.
    • Finance and Advanced Analytics line: Finance (General / Financial Risk Management), Financial Analytics, or Financial/Applied Mathematics.

• Experience and Educational Approach:
  • Experience in mentoring oriented toward competency development through the resolution of Challenges and Problem-Based Situations.
  • Proven ability to engage with Formative Partners in the real financial environment.
  • Anticipatory thinking, entrepreneurial innovation, and ethical/legal awareness.
  • Ability to teach in English (advanced level or equivalent) and experience in international academic environments (desirable).

• Technical Skills and Required Software:
  • Advanced practical mastery of:
    • Programming Languages: Python (specifically Statsmodels, Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow), R, and C++.
    • Optimization and Modeling Tools: MATLAB, GAMS (General Algebraic Modeling System).
    • Simulation: Monte Carlo Simulation Software (Crystal Ball, @RISK for Excel).
    • Development Environments: Google Colab, Jupyter Notebooks, and operational trading platforms.
