1. What will you do?
As a Full-Time Professor of Mechanics and Materials, you will join one of the leading educational institutions in Latin America, consistently ranked among the best universities in the world, recognized for its academic excellence, educational innovation, and international reach.
This position arises in response to the implementation needs of the Tec21 Model, designing challenging, flexible, and student-centered educational experiences in the area of Mechanical Engineering, with the objective of strengthening strategic areas such as: Thermal and Fluid Systems, Advanced Manufacturing, Materials Science and Engineering, Transformation and Characterization Processes, Mechanical Design and Prototyping, Experimental Mechanics, Industrial Automation, and Mechanical Systems within the School of Engineering and Sciences.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of highly competitive students, the strengthening of the academic body, and the institutional positioning of Tecnológico de Monterrey at the national and international levels, through an academic practice aligned with global standards of quality, impact, and relevance.
How will you do it?
Your main challenges will be:
• Design and deliver rigorous and challenging learning experiences aligned with international standards of academic excellence.
• Strengthen and update the Mechanics and Materials program, contributing to its academic differentiation.
• Generate impact through research, collaboration, or relevant academic output.
• Collaborate strategically with the academic body to consolidate the School’s institutional positioning.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a professor with a transformative vocation and an outstanding academic profile to join the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with the following characteristics:

PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Mechanical Industrial Engineering, or related fields obtained from a university ranked within the Top 100 worldwide in the discipline.

Active research trajectory, with recent publications in indexed journals (JCR/Scopus).

Bibliometric indicators consistent with academic stage (h-index and citations aligned with career level).

Proven teaching experience in courses such as:

Heat Transfer / Thermofluids
-
Materials Science
-
Manufacturing Processes
-
Mechanics of Materials
-
Mechanical Design
-
-
Ability to supervise projects, theses, and research groups.

Experience or potential for industrial engagement.

English proficiency at C1 level.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Passion for the comprehensive development of students and academic leadership.
