Full-time Professor of Industrial Engineering – Laguna Campus

What will you do?
The full-time professor is a fundamental pillar at Tecnológico de Monterrey, since he or she teaches innovative and high-quality classes in the disciplinary area based on the Tec21 Model and contributes to the training of students aligned with the vision of Tec de Monterrey. In addition, he or she carries out outreach and/or research activities that impact the training of students and the prestige of Tec de Monterrey.

Your main challenges will be:
1. Comply with and ensure compliance with: The Principles, Vision and Values ​​of Tecnológico de Monterrey; the Code of Ethics of Tecnológico de Monterrey; the General Academic Policies and Standards and the standards contained in the regulations in force, as well as the academic, research, knowledge transfer and administrative policies, standards and decisions.

2. Preparation and teaching of classes including innovative techniques and the use of technology.

3. Provide quality advice and attention to students.

4. Activities of intellectual vitality and leadership and service aligned with the teaching career.

5. Training and participation in activities of the Tec21 Model: Week i, semester i, NOVUS projects.

6. Participate in institutional activities agreed upon with the Director of the Department.

What are we looking for?
• Career related to industrial engineering. PhD in Industrial Engineering, preferably in areas of specialty such as supply chain, logistics, applied statistics or operations research.

• At least two years of teaching experience with evidence of excellent performance.

• Excellent communication skills, and interest in actively participating in the academic life of the institution.

• It is desirable that the candidate have some experience (academic, project development) in industrial engineering.

• Proven capacity for consulting and/or research in his/her area of ​​specialty, in order to obtain external resources.

• English level equal to or greater than 600 pts on the TOEFL to teach classes in English.

• Availability to travel.
