What Will You Do?

 

A full-time professor is a fundamental pillar at Tecnológico de Monterrey, delivering innovative and high-quality courses in the disciplinary area based on the Tec21 Model and contributing to student development aligned with the university's vision. Additionally, the professor engages in research and collaboration activities that enhance student learning and the institution's prestige.

 

Your Main Challenges Will Be:

 

  • Uphold and ensure compliance with Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Principles, Vision, and Values; the Code of Ethics; General Academic Policies and Regulations; and policies, standards, and decisions related to academics, research, knowledge transfer, and administration.

  • Prepare and deliver classes using innovative techniques and technology.

  • Provide quality academic advising and support to students.

  • Engage in intellectual vitality, leadership, and service activities aligned with the teaching faculty career path.

  • Participate in Tec21 Model activities, including Tec Week, Tec Semester, and NOVUS projects.

  • Take part in institutional activities as agreed upon with the Department Director.

  • Provide academic guidance to engineering students.

  • Publish at least one article per year in high-impact indexed journals on educational innovation.

 

What Are We Looking For?

 

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical/Electronic and Communications Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Automation Engineering.

  • Membership in the National System of Researchers (highly desirable).

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Experience in designing and controlling mechatronic systems, integrating automation and smart manufacturing technologies.

  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation software, PLC programming, and robotics.

  • Professional experience abroad.

  • At least two years of teaching experience.

  • Advanced English proficiency (minimum B2 level or 600 TOEFL points).
