Full-Time Professor of Civil Engineering

What will you do?

Training new civil engineers with the highest academic quality standards, equipped with international experience and the ability to conduct independent research. Driving a strategic surge in research within the Department of Sustainable and Civil Technologies through the development of applied engineering projects and scientific articles.

Your main challenges will be:

• Conduct research in the area of Geotechnics and Transportation Infrastructure in Civil Engineering (for a researcher profile) or Education (for a teaching profile).
• Participate in extension/consulting projects defined by the department.
• Develop educational materials for courses and publish outcomes in formats such as books and articles.
• Foster educational innovation, delivering teaching with a high level of innovation.
• Develop international collaboration between the Civil Engineering Department in the Central-Western region of the EIC and prestigious institutions abroad.

What are we looking for?

• PhD in Civil Engineering.
• Significant experience in research and teaching within the field of Civil Engineering, preferably specializing in geotechnics, roadways, and/or highways.
• Proven track record in conducting relevant and high-quality research, evidenced by the publication of articles in high-impact scientific journals and participation in both national and international conferences.
• Advanced level of English (550 TOEFL points or B2 in institutional exams).
