What will you do?
You will support the strengthening of the department's research areas and strategic projects, particularly in topics related to Mechanical Design, Computational Mechanics, Mechanism Design, Finite Element Analysis, Mechanical Vibrations, and Mechanical Characterization of Materials.
Your main challenges will be:
- Conduct high-impact research aligned with Tecnológico de Monterrey's strategic lines.
- Carry out research projects in collaboration with other national and international institutions and/or applied research or consulting projects with the industrial sector.
- Teach advanced courses in your area of expertise: mechanical design, mechanical vibrations, computational mechanics, mechanism design, mechanics of materials.
- Generate research outputs and secure funding necessary to join and remain part of a research faculty at the Institute.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the Tec21 Model and provide training in your specialty area.
What are we looking for?
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (mechanical design, mechanical vibrations, computational mechanics, mechanism design, mechanics of materials).
- Teaching experience at the professional level.
- Recent first-author publications in Q1 and/or Q2 journals.
- Experience and active engagement in scientific and technological research, enabling collaboration on research projects with other institutions.
- Advanced English level with business proficiency.
- Desirable: Experience in securing funding for research projects.
