The Institute for the Future of Education through Interdisciplinary Research Group R4C-IRG (https://tec.mx/en/r4c-irg) is seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Researcher in the area of Computing to join our team at the Monterrey Campus. The selected candidate will work on the E4C&CT project, which aims to develop an innovative ecosystem to scale computational thinking and reasoning to handle complexity in educational environments. With an initial prototype available for exploration at https://oeprdev.com/PC/platform/pages/links.php, the project represents a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of educational technology.

This position has a duration starting from April 01, 2024, until the end of this year.

Requirements:

• Must have earned a Ph.D. degree in the following areas of knowledge: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Educational Innovation, or related areas.
• Has outstanding leadership potential, and commitment to developing an exciting and innovative research agenda to produce high scientific impact, technology development, or opportunities to develop technology-based entrepreneurship, in computational thinking. It is desirable to have a strong programming background and experience with the development of technology in educational contexts.
• The use of data analysis tools, including artificial intelligence and specifically machine learning algorithms, is desired.
• Published at least one scientific journal article indexed in Scopus.
• Previous experience in the discipline is desirable (for example, participation in international research or development projects, research stay, or previous postdoctoral stays).
• A team player open to interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Demonstrated oral and written English skills at least at the level of B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Spanish proficiency is desirable but not a requirement.

The job responsibilities will include the successful completion of the research project, publication of research findings in high-impact journals (Q1/Q2), attracting research funding, intellectual property registration, and technology transfer.
