1. What will you do?
As a Physical Property Characterization Specialist, your main challenge will be to provide support for the electrical, thermal, magnetic, and functional characterization of materials and devices using advanced measurement platforms.
2. How will you do it?
Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Instrument Operation
Operate and maintain equipment for physical property characterization, with a focus on, but not limited to, the following: PPMS, Parameter Analyzer, and Probe Station.
2. User Support and Training
Train students, researchers, faculty, industry partners, and external users in the use of equipment and characterization techniques.
3. Sample Preparation and Analysis
Assist with sample preparation, experimental planning, image acquisition, and data interpretation.
4. Documentation and Quality Control
Develop and maintain operating procedures, service records, and technical documentation.
5. Equipment Maintenance
Coordinate preventive maintenance, consumables management, and interactions with vendors.
6. Facility Development
Contribute to the continuous improvement of characterization services and laboratory capabilities.
3. What are we looking for?
If you have a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Engineering, or a related discipline, with graduate studies preferred, and 1 to 3 years of experience working in laboratories, fabrication, manufacturing, or related fields, we want to hear from you. Experience with scientific instrumentation is desirable. We are also looking for candidates with organizational skills, a service-oriented mindset, analytical and critical-thinking skills, and English proficiency (minimum B2 level).
