The Institute of Advanced Materials for Sustainable Manufacturing (https://tec.mx/en/institute-advanced-materials-sustainable-manufacturing) has been created to research, innovate, and foster science and technological entrepreneurship in advanced materials, manufacturing processes, and technology platforms with the potential to transform the manufacturing industry. Our mission is also to contribute to a carbon-neutral economy by discovering, developing, and creating advanced materials to achieve sustainable manufacturing. The institute focuses on two main challenges:
- Design advanced materials for different applications to contribute to a net-zero emission and zero carbon footprint.
- Create and develop high-tech manufacturing processes and technological platforms to accelerate and rapidly scale up the production of advanced materials with minimum environmental impact.
The Institute invites ambitious researchers to apply for a Research Professor position to develop interdisciplinary research at world-class levels in the following areas (indicate the research areas or particulars of the project). This position is for a full-time contract.
Requirements:
- Must have earned a Ph.D. degree in the following areas of knowledge Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics Engineering, and Nanotechnology Engineering.
- Has outstanding leadership potential and a commitment to developing an exciting and innovative research agenda to produce high scientific impact, technology development, or opportunities to create technology-based entrepreneurship in advanced materials , Polymer science, Energy(storage, renewable, efficiency, buildings), computational fluid dynamics, and optimization.
- Published at least 40 scientific journal articles indexed in Scopus.
- Previous experience in the discipline is desirable, including participation in international projects, research stays, collaboration in research and development projects funded by industry as a PI or co-PI, or postdoctoral stays.
- Published at least two patents
- Academic experience lecturing courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, with the advising of at least 3 PhD students.
- A team player open to interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Demonstrated oral and written English skills at least at the level of B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Spanish proficiency is desirable but not a requirement.
