1. What will you do? (Role Objective)

As Full-Time Professor of Sciences - Campus Monterrey, you will join one of the leading higher education institutions in Latin America, consistently ranked among the top universities worldwide and recognized for its academic excellence, educational innovation, and international outlook.

 

This position responds to the need for strengthening the academic faculty of the Regional Sciences Department at Campus Monterrey, contributing to the delivery of courses in the Materials Development Engineering (IDM) and Industrial Physics Engineering (IFI) programs, as well as developing high-impact research and engagement with the public and private sectors, with the goal of strengthening the academic training of IDM and IFI students, while driving research, industry consulting, and the program’s accreditation processes within the Regional Sciences Department at Campus Monterrey.

 

From this role, you will contribute to the development of highly competitive students, the strengthening of the academic faculty, and the institutional positioning of Tecnológico de Monterrey at both national and international levels, through an academic practice aligned with global standards of quality, impact, and relevance.

 

2. How will you do it?

Your main challenges will include:

  • Delivering two semester-long courses from the Sciences Department each semester, aligned with the Tec21 Educational Model.
  • Securing funding through consulting projects with private and public sector initiatives.
  • Advising graduate students and developing high-quality human capital.
  • Driving the development of research projects with undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Publishing scientific articles in high-impact international journals.
  • Participating in accreditation activities for the IDM program.

 

3. What are we looking for?

  • Doctoral degree (required) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, Data Science, or related fields, obtained from a Top 50 university according to the QS World University Ranking.
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience or postdoctoral experience (desirable).
  • Previous training as a Mathematician or Physicist (desirable).
  • Demonstrated international experience.
  • Scientific publications in high-impact international journals.
  • Advanced English proficiency (TOEFL above 550 points).
