What Will You Do?
You will engage in teaching activities enriched by a strong academic and professional background that brings a distinctive mark of innovation and leadership to your students. Your work will be grounded in the principles, values, and vision of Tec de Monterrey’s current strategic plan. In addition to teaching, you will contribute to the research ecosystem in areas related to Computer Science and Machine Learning, disseminating knowledge through high-impact global publications, building academic partnerships with prestigious international universities, and attracting funding for high-impact research projects. These projects should involve recognized leaders from top-tier institutions and transfer technology to companies participating in this research ecosystem.
How Will You Do It?
As a professor-researcher, you will strengthen the academic and scientific profile of the Department of Computing through the following activities:
Teaching
Deliver courses in the field of Computer Science, primarily in:
- Computational Algorithms
- Software Engineering and Architecture
- Databases
- Computer Vision
- Artificial Intelligence
- Natural Language Processing
- Data Science
Research
- Develop cutting-edge research lines in Computer Science aimed at generating new knowledge.
- Publish results in indexed journals and high-impact international conferences (minimum: 1 Scopus Q1/Q2 article per year).
Project Management & Funding

Design and manage proposals to attract external funding, aligned with the institution’s research strategy (target: at least $500,000 MXN annually).
Academic Participation
- Join academic committees and faculty councils within the Department of Computing.
- Contribute to the design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of academic programs.
- Student Engagement
- Support initiatives for attracting, mentoring, and retaining students in departmental programs.
- Professional Development
- Maintain ongoing training and development in teaching, research, and academic practice.
What Are We Looking For?

Academic Background: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields aligned with the department’s academic offerings. Preferred: Ph.D. from an institution ranked in the Top 100 of the QS World University Rankings (QS-WUR).

Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years in university-level teaching or in research, educational innovation, consulting, or information systems development. Preferred: Significant academic or professional international experience at a QS Top 100 institution.
