1. What will you do?

You will lead Science Gallery Monterrey, the Latin American hub of the international Science Gallery Network, driving its development and strengthening its position as a leading platform at the intersection of art, science, technology, and innovation.

You will be responsible for defining and executing the project's overall strategy, ensuring the achievement of its strategic, curatorial, academic, financial, operational, and institutional objectives, in alignment with the vision of Tecnológico de Monterrey, the School of Architecture, Art and Design, Expedition FEMSA, and the international Science Gallery Network.

You will also represent Science Gallery Monterrey at an institutional level, strengthening its positioning and engagement with the Science Gallery Network, strategic partners, artists, researchers, sponsors, funding organizations, and national and international partners.

2. How will you do it?

Your main challenges will include:

• Leading the strategy and operations of Science Gallery Monterrey, ensuring the achievement of institutional objectives, adherence to international standards, performance indicators, and long-term sustainability.
• Defining and strengthening the curatorial vision and strategic programming, driving high-impact exhibitions and interdisciplinary experiences at the intersection of art, science, technology, and innovation.
• Developing strategic partnerships and new funding opportunities, strengthening collaboration with universities, research centers, companies, cultural organizations, sponsors, and the international Science Gallery Network.
• Strengthening the positioning and growth of Science Gallery Monterrey, leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence that enhances its academic, cultural, and social impact at both national and international levels.

3. What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual with a strong professional track record at the intersection of art, science, technology, and cultural management, combined with strategic vision, leadership capabilities, and experience working in interdisciplinary and international environments.

Academic Qualifications

• Master's degree in Art, Curatorial Studies, Museum Studies, Cultural Management, Cultural Studies, Humanities, or a related field connected to art, science, and technology.
• A PhD or doctoral degree in a field related to art, science, technology, the humanities, or a related discipline is preferred.

Professional Experience

• Demonstrated experience leading or managing museums, cultural centers, galleries, academic institutions, or highly complex interdisciplinary projects.
• Experience in the development and production of national or international exhibitions related to art, science, and technology.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets, and overseeing multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring the successful management of timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Experience developing national and international strategic partnerships, as well as building relationships with artists, researchers, academic institutions, and interdisciplinary communities.
• Experience in fundraising, sponsorship development, and engagement with funding organizations.

Languages

• C2 / Proficiency-level English is required, with full professional proficiency in oral and written communication, negotiation, presentations, and the preparation of specialized documents in international contexts.
• For native English speakers, full professional proficiency in Spanish is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in academic, institutional, and professional environments.

Knowledge and Competencies

• Knowledge of curatorial practice and exhibition production, cultural and museum project management, strategic planning, and financial and budget management.
• Knowledge of partnership development, international cooperation, fundraising, impact assessment, and performance indicator management.
• Experience or knowledge of exhibition design and museography, preventive conservation, collection management, risk management, and institutional governance is preferred.
• Strong competencies in strategic leadership, institutional vision, interdisciplinary thinking, negotiation, effective communication, and results orientation.
• Ability to prioritize, make timely decisions, and manage multiple projects and stakeholders in dynamic and highly complex environments.
• A strong sense of integrity, institutional responsibility, organization, and follow-through.
