Position Overview

The School of Social Sciences and Government invites applications for a Full-Time Professor of Law at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

In this role, you will educate future legal professionals and social scientists with a strong ethical foundation, advanced technological competencies, and the ability to practice law in an increasingly globalized environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding teaching in one or more of the following areas:
• Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Law
• Law of Obligations
• International Commercial Law and/or International Trade
• Corporate Law
• Mentor students through experiential learning projects and real-world legal challenges.
• Supervise, advise, and evaluate undergraduate students.
• Design innovative course materials, syllabi, and case studies that enhance student learning.
• Serve as an inspiring academic leader, fostering excellence in teaching, faculty development, and the exploration of legal, ethical, and technological issues.

About the Opportunity

As a Full-Time Professor, you will play a strategic role in the launch and growth of the Bachelor of Laws program at Tecnológico de Monterrey's Sonora Norte Campus.

You will collaborate closely with the Regional Dean, Campus Leadership, faculty members, and academic directors to strengthen teaching and learning, attract outstanding students, foster faculty integration, and build meaningful partnerships with regional and local stakeholders.

You will also contribute to:

• Student recruitment, admissions, and scholarship selection.
• The creation of outstanding educational experiences aligned with the Tec21 Educational Model.
• Faculty integration and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Building a strong legal academic community and strengthening the program's engagement with the regional ecosystem.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

• A Ph.D. in Law or a closely related discipline, preferably earned from an international institution.
• A Master's degree in Law or a specialized legal field.
• A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. or equivalent professional degree).
• Strong expertise in legal education and pedagogy.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Law
• Law of Obligations
• International Commercial Law and/or International Trade
• Corporate Law
• Related legal fields
• A record of scholarly publications, including books, peer-reviewed journal articles, or academic book chapters.
• Experience developing partnerships with industry, government, or the legal community, as well as contributing to institutional visibility and engagement.
• Professional legal experience as a mediator, consultant, attorney, litigator, or legal advisor in one or more of the areas listed above.
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic vision, and a strong results-oriented mindset.
• Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to teach courses in English.
