Job Description

We invite applications for the position of Full-Time Professor in Industrial Engineering (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level) specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. Ideal candidates will apply AI methodologies to optimize supply chain management, logistics, data analytics, or operational excellence (with a focus on Quality). The role requires driving high-impact research, securing competitive funding, and delivering exceptional teaching by integrating AI into undergraduate and graduate programs.

Location: Campus Chihuahua, Mexico

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching courses with high academic quality standards in areas of industrial engineering, optimization, logistics, operations research, and process analytics.
• Actively participate in the academic communities of the School of Engineering and Sciences.
• Incorporate data analytics tools, process simulation, and digital technologies into teaching. 
• Supervise applied projects with students focused on industrial process improvement.
• Comply with institutional training and at least 40 hours of disciplinary updating per year. 
• Participate in student attraction and retention activities with positive evaluations.
• Participate in outreach projects with companies, academic consulting, or applied research in operational efficiency.
• Guide students through hands-on projects, challenges related to industrial engineering topics, and laboratory work. 

Requirements

Academic Background:

• PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related areas.
• Industry experience will be considered an advantage. 

Experience:

Proven experience in higher education teaching in engineering. Experience in process optimization, logistics, analytics, or operations management. Desirable participation in applied research projects or industrial consulting. Experience in collaboration with companies or process improvement projects. Desirable experience in data analytics, simulation, or optimization tools. Teaching Experience Demonstrated excellence in teaching industrial engineering topics. Language and Communication Professional proficiency in English (minimum level B2 / TOEFL 550).
