What will you do?
In this position, the main challenge is to determine the direction of the academic program and ensure its fulfillment, attract excellent students, oversee the student experience during their time at Tecnológico de Monterrey, and support graduates in their professional development.
Your main challenges will be:
- Provide guidance and follow-up on the student’s academic experience.
- Ensure the student’s correct and complete enrollment.
- Ensure the academic integration of new students into their program.
- Advise students on the selection of Learning Units during semester and intensive term planning and enrollment (from the enrollment in their focus area until graduation), while reinforcing self-management at all times.
- Provide advice on the selection of their program, its structure, and concentrations.
- Assist students who wish to transfer to another program.
- Guide students in their specialization decisions for the choice of concentrations, professional experience stays, and international programs.
- Promote, advise, authorize, and validate international experiences and diverse internationalization activities available to students, while providing follow-up and support for the internationalization indicators of the program.
- Contribute and manage the necessary information for generating course demand, in collaboration with other directors and areas.
- Address questions and concerns from parents regarding academic matters, among others.
- Actively participate in attracting and retaining student enrollment.
What are we looking for?
- PhD in Biotechnology or a related field (preferably from a Top 200 QS-ranked university).
- Teaching experience and student advising.
- International experience desirable.
- Indexed publications in Scopus.
- Advanced English proficiency (minimum TOEFL score of 600).
