Tecnológico de Monterrey is looking for research professors to join a new multidisciplinary research institute: The Obesity Research Institute consists of five research units, each requiring researchers with expertise in different areas of health.

Activities:

• Promote the translation of the IOR's work as a whole to the public sphere, including the formulation of public policy proposals and public entrepreneurship, and the inclusion of the IOR's work in public discourse.

• Show a broad vision of obesity and measures to address it beyond the actions of the health sector.

• Contribute to the development of research capacity and training of specialists in public policies and health within Tecnológico de Monterrey.

• Collaborate with initiatives and institutional actions related to public policy and health.

• Participation in internal and external forums and seminars, as well as in the media, on IOR and public policy and health topics.

This opportunity is for you if you have:

• A Ph.D. in areas relevant to the Unit's activities, such as Public Policies, Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Political Science, and others.

• Candidates without a Ph.D. but with a Master's degree in related areas may be considered if they demonstrate significant research experience in line with the activities and mission of the IOR, along with relevant publications.

• Given the Unit's focus on public policies, candidates' academic background, including doctoral thesis work, does not necessarily have to be directed towards health topics. However, academic preparation and subsequent experience should demonstrate relevance to the mission of the Public Policies Unit. A good understanding of policy formulation, implementation, and impact is expected.

• In addition to research experience (shown by relevant studies and publications), candidates ideally will demonstrate at least 10 years of previous experience in the formulation, design, implementation, evaluation, or analysis of public policies relevant to the objectives of the Public Policies Unit. This experience may be in the national or state public sector, legislative bodies, international organizations, specialized consulting, and civil society organizations, including Think Tanks.
