What will you do?

You will drive a strategic surge in applied research in the field of hydraulic engineering, with emphasis on the analysis, design, and management of hydraulic systems. Your work will be embedded within the academic ecosystem of Tecnológico de Monterrey, actively collaborating in a multidisciplinary Focus Group, developing high-impact projects, and generating knowledge through high-quality scientific publications.

You will mentor students in the Master’s and Ph.D. programs in Engineering Sciences, shaping them into researchers and leaders capable of delivering sustainable solutions to future hydraulic challenges.

Your main challenges will be:

• Designing and consolidating research lines in applied hydraulics
• Supervising graduate theses (Master’s and Ph.D.) with scientific and technological impact
• Actively participating in a multidisciplinary Focus Group
• Securing and managing external funding for research and innovation projects
• Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, integrating active methodologies and emerging technologies

What are we looking for?

• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or related fields
• Experience in multidisciplinary research groups
• Participation in innovation or applied research projects
• University-level teaching experience
• Desirable: professional experience in structural design, mechanical analysis of new construction materials, and/or additive manufacturing
• Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written
