About the Role

 

The Agile Project Manager will be responsible for the ongoing planning, execution and future improvement of the university’s strategic plan. This role will partner closely with the rector, vicerrectors and directors to manage the agile implementation of the strategic portfolio of projects. This role will also assist to measure, analyze and communicate insights from the implementation to continuously improve both project results, as well as the agile project management process.

As an Agile project manager, you will drive the delivery of Strategy plans, such as those related to our consumer site experience, enterprise relationships, digital platform, learner’s success, and others.

 

You will partner up with learning designers, developers, data scientists, data engineers, data analysts and external partners to solve challenges of strategic importance to the company and will maintain smooth team execution while driving Agile delivery. Given the tight partnership with existing teams, it is expected that you bring thoughtful perspectives and creativity. This role is ideal for someone with relationship management, project planning, and a desire to be constantly learning, looking to venture into the field of learning design, product development, machine learning and artificial intelligence. You will report into the Tecmilenio Strategy Director.

 

About the job:

 

Ensure that business opportunity, hypothesis and experiments are defined,

Establish project charters that includes timeline, roles and responsibilities of each involved parties,

Lead one or more Agile projects following standard methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

Track and remove impediments for the team as quickly as possible

Communicate early and often within the team and with partners

Establish a backlog process management leading to project and backlog roadmaps being prioritized through a clearly defined process and ROI sizing.

Identify and address or mitigate risks, and dependencies to the team

Manage a documentation repository: maintain up-to-date project documentation, shared and conforming to best practices.

Be a process promoter: Coach team members on Agile Principles to help team in agile process,

Encourage cross team collaboration within the project teams and communication to a broader audience,

Bring a passion to stay on top of current trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the design and technology community,

Provide support to Implementation Lead for integrated roadmap planning activities

Lead boldly and use hard and soft skills to influence participants of all levels towards the common goal

 

About you:

 

Bachelor's degree

Minimum 3 years project management experience

Minimum 2 years working with technical teams in digital solutions

Solid experience with Agile project management and familiar with Slack, Trello, Miro and Google applications. 

Experience working with IT and product teams

Bring structure to ambiguous environments and relate well to people at all levels.

Ability to influence change outside of your span of control and build stakeholder support.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to get results through formal channels and informal networking within a matrix project organization.

Preferred Certifications: PMP, CSM, SAFe
