Postdoctoral Researcher IAMSM

At the Institute of Advanced Materials for Sustainable Manufacturing (https://tec.mx/en/institute-advanced-materials-sustainable-manufacturing), our work focuses on research, innovation, and fostering scientific entrepreneurship in advanced materials and manufacturing processes that have the potential to transform the industry. Our mission is to contribute to a carbon-neutral economy by discovering and developing advanced materials that will enable sustainable manufacturing. We focus on:

  1. Designing future materials that produce net-zero emissions and reduce the carbon footprint: We use advanced technology platforms to accelerate research and innovation in materials science and manufacturing.
  2. Creating and developing new manufacturing processes with minimal environmental impact: We aim to transform manufacturing processes to produce advanced materials with minimal environmental impact by integrating clean energy systems, additive manufacturing techniques, and CO2 capture to reduce emissions.
  3. Designing and utilizing advanced technology platforms to accelerate research and innovation in materials science and manufacturing: We design and use advanced technology platforms, such as AI, data science, and robotics, to accelerate the discovery, development, and production of new materials, thereby enhancing productivity.

The Institute invites ambitious, early-career researchers to apply for a postdoctoral position focused on developing world-class, interdisciplinary research in automatic control, biomedical applications, robotics, and artificial intelligence application with special focus in computer vision.  The initial contract is for one year and may be extended for an additional year, contingent upon performance.
