The IFE is composed of several existent units responsible for promotion, transfer and dissemination, and faculty training in educational research and innovation. Two units are being developed, the Excellence Research Lab (ERL), and the Living Lab and Data Hub (LL & DH) to create a pole of educational research and data that brings professionals from every corner of the world together to establish a core of experts that tackle the current educational challenges and create the future of education.

  • The Living Lab and Data Hub (LL & DH) is part of the GIEI and serves as a platform to provide a thriving environment for performing groundbreaking experimental educational research within Tecnologico de Monterrey.
  • This area acts as a bridge between several stakeholders, including faculty members, institutional decision-makers, and international collaborators and researchers.
  • Living Lab & Data Hub also offers an open repository of educational data that can be accessible not only by all members of Tecnológico de Monterrey but also by international researchers. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

The Living Lab Coordinator is responsible for creating a thriving environment for performing groundbreaking experimental educational research within Tecnologico de Monterrey. As a member of LL & DH, the Living Lab Coordinator provides support in two main areas:

  • Prepares and manages a portfolio of potential research projects aligned with institutional strategic initiatives. This portfolio includes the necessary synergic collaborations with institutional leaders and stakeholders and potential experimental variables. Complementary to the portfolio, a network of potential researchers for invitation should be maintained.
  • Scans for research groups in educational research for potential collaborations. Establishes a communication plan to promote Tecnológico de Monterrey as a living laboratory (ej. digital technology providers).

Through strong strategic planning and conducting effective analyses, Living Lab Coordinator has the mission of assuring that the Living Lab is operational and available on-demand internal and external investigators. The Living Lab Coordinator is expected to have sufficient background in research that would provide appropriate assistance to the research faculty in their projects. Through excellent soft skills, the Living Lab Coordinator would facilitate experimental design and execution and takes part in potential outcomes of the conducted research.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's or doctorate (a plus) degree in Education, Data Science, Statistics, Statistical Computation or other related areas.
  • Background in statistical analysis, data models, data science, advanced analytics, statistical computation among others.
  • Familiarity with Tecnológico de Monterrey organizational structure and processes.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the related areas.
  • High level of English and Spanish proficiency

  • Skilled in the use of Information Technology.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient in using analytical tools.
  • Demonstrate organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Understanding of statistical techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong data representation skills: appropriate graphical representation, use of tables, and other report formats.
  • Ability to expand knowledge and become proficient in a variety of vendor software programs with minimal instruction.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills that support productive work with all levels of staff.
