Postdoctoral Research Associate at Institute for the Future Education
The Institute for the future of Education (https://tec.mx/en/ife) has been created to generate, transfer, and disseminate applicable knowledge on educational innovation in an experimental, interdisciplinary, open, and world-class way, connecting, inspiring, and accompanying those who seek disruptive solutions for the future of higher education and lifelong learning. The Institute invites early-career, ambitious researchers to apply for postdoctoral positions to develop interdisciplinary research at a world-class level to design and develop a digital ecosystem that integrates (i) instructional procedures for understanding computational problem solving with various degrees of computational complexity (simple, P and NP) and (ii) automated tools based on learning analytics, artificial intelligence, games, machine learning, and data science that allow to extract data to analyze behaviors and scale up reasoning for complexity and computational thinking. This position is a one-year contract (renewable for one additional year in case of outstanding performance). Part of the position´s responsibility may include working with direct supervisors as a teaching assistant, not exceeding 25% of the total time.
Requirements:
- Must have earned a Ph.D. degree in the following areas of knowledge: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence o related areas (preferably degree granted in 2017 or upwards)
- Has outstanding leadership potential, and commitment to developing an exciting and innovative research agenda to produce high scientific impact, technology development, or opportunities to develop technology-based entrepreneurship, in computational thinking It is desirable to have strong programming background and experience with the development of technology in educational contexts.
- Published at least one scientific journal article indexed in Scopus.
- Previous experience in the discipline is desirable (for example, participation in international research or development projects, research stay, or previous postdoctoral stays).
- A team player open to interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Demonstrated oral and written English skills at least at the level of B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Spanish proficiency is desirable but not a requirement.
