Postdoctoral Fellow Position at the Institute for Obesity Research Position:

 

The Institute for Obesity Research seeks a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our interdisciplinary research team.

 

Our institute is at the forefront of obesity research, and we aim to understand the complex biological, environmental, and genetic factors contributing to obesity and related metabolic disorders.

 

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Mass Spectrometry, or a related field (must have obtained the degree within the last 5 years) • Extensive experience with metabolomics, lipidomics, RNA-seq, microbiome, or genomics data analysis.

• Proficiency in R or Python programming and data analysis.

• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

• Knowledge of deep learning techniques for molecular and natural product design is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Preferred Skills:

• Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in bioinformatics.

• Proficiency in additional programming languages such as R or Python.

• Familiarity with high-performance computing environments and cloud-based bioinformatics tools.

• Experience with instrumental analysis, analytical chemistry, or mass spectrometry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Conduct high-quality research in metabolomics, lipidomics, RNA-seq, microbiome, and genomics data analysis.

• Apply deep learning techniques for molecular and natural product design.

• Develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines and tools using R.

• Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, contributing to joint projects and publications.

• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present them at scientific conferences.

• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students involved in related projects.
