Institute for the Future of Education (IFE)

The purpose of the institute is to generate, transfer and disseminate applicable knowledge about educational innovation - experimental, interdisciplinary, open and world-class - connecting, inspiring and accompanying those who seek disruptive solutions for the education of the future.

The IFE is composed of several existent units responsible for dissemination, promotion, training of the faculty in educational research and innovation. Two units are being developed, the Excellence Research Lab (ERL), and the Living Lab and Data Hub (LL & DH) to create a pole of educational research and data that brings professionals from every corner of the world together to establish a core of experts that tackle the current educational challenges and create the future of education.

  • The Living Lab and Data Hub (LL & DH) is part of the GIEI and serves as a platform to provide a thriving environment for performing groundbreaking experimental educational research within Tecnologico de Monterrey.
  • This area acts as a bridge between several stakeholders, including faculty members, institutional decision-makers, and international collaborators and researchers.
  • Living Lab & Data Hub also offers an open repository of educational data that can be accessible not only by all members of Tecnológico de Monterrey but also by international researchers. 


Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Data Hub Coordinator is responsible for creating actionable and rigorous analysis/reporting of data to support academic production via data collection and analytics.
  • As a member of LL & HB, the Data Hub Coordinator is responsible for localizing, gathering, classifying, filtering, polishing, and continuous monitoring of the data required for educational research.
  • The Data Hub Coordinator is responsible for production and distribution of data sets and support to research projects of the Institute for the Future of Education.
  • Through strong data collection, data management, analysis, validation, and maintenance strategies, the Data Hub Coordinator has the mission of assuring that the Data Hub is operational and accessible by the members of the IFE and other research institutes across the world.
  • This collaborative environment would allow the Data Hub Coordinator to take part in research outcomes.


Basic Qualifications

  • Master's or doctorate (a plus) degree in Data Science, Statistics, Statistical Computation or other related areas.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis, data models, data science, advanced analytics, statistical computation, among others.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the related areas (Background in data coordination/management is highly desirable).
  • Experience in research is a plus.
  • High level of English and Spanish proficiency

  • Skilled in the use of Information Technology.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient in using analytical tools.
  • Demonstrate organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of statistical software and platforms (Python).
  • Understanding of statistical techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong data representation skills: appropriate graphical representation, use of tables, and other report formats.
  • Ability to expand knowledge and become proficient in a variety of vendor software programs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills that support productive work with all levels of staff.
