This position will lead the operations and development efforts of the Decision Making Center the Tecnologico de Monterrey Expedition Project. Spanish-language fluency and English-language proficiency are required.  The compensation for this role will be determined based on a combination of qualifications, experience, and, significantly, the candidate's performance in securing funding for the laboratories’ research activities.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

As part of a dynamic team and working with competing demands, the Coordinador de Operaciones y Desarrollo supports the operations of both the Decision Theatre and the Behavioral Lab, through the following key activities:

  • Supporting the development of the strategic direction of the laboratories with faculty, principal investigators and the school leadership;
  • Identifying and pursuing funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private donors to support the lab's research activities;
  • Coordinating the writing and submission of grant proposals, ensuring they meet the highest standards and align with funder priorities;
  • Cultivating relationships with potential funders, serving as the primary liaison and advocate for the lab's research initiatives;
  • Fostering and managing research programs through every phase from ideation to dissemination under the direction of the Distinguished and lab team members;
  • Writing, editing, and distributing content (including presentations, videos, briefs, summaries, white papers, and practitioner-orientated articles) based on research findings;
  • Assisting research professors and the academic leadership with the design of research articles, classes, proposals, policy briefs, and overseeing the execution of these tasks;
  • Acting as a project manager for lab projects and related events, including tracking deliverables and milestones on projects and supervising the work of the project team;
  • Representing the lab while communicating with and building and maintaining strong relationships with internal platforms and external partners;
  • Facilitating and organizing internal and external meetings, events, and conferences;
  • Assisting research professors and academic leadership with managing research compliance needs, including the coordination of Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, data use agreements (DUA), and data safety application process with lab researchers; promotes best practices for the responsible conduct of research and research integrity;
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with multiple faculty members;
  • Fostering a cohesive lab community and working closely with Research Associates and Postdoctoral Fellows;
  • Assisting visitors and students with their engagement with the laboratories;
  • Preparing deliverables and reports related to internal and external funding, monitoring timelines and budgets, collaborating with the internal finance team, communicating with external funders as appropriate;
  • Arranging travel and lab purchases; and
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of relevant work experience are required.
  • Postgraduate education highly recommended
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects is required.
  • Demonstrated experience writing for a variety of audiences is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of research methods and protocols is required.
  • Experience managing staff and teams preferred.
  • Experience in higher education or research.
