Postdoctoral Fellow within the Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean

The School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow within the Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean.  The successful candidate will be engaged in addressing methods and algorithms in the hydraulic and hydrology tracks, related to integrated water management, and will be working in close collaboration with Dr. Aldo I. Ramirez, Professor and Researcher and recently appointed Director of the Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean, Full-time for one year, with possible extension to two years, depending on performance.

Research Issues/(research project):

Research will be aimed to basin hydrology under changing environments with emphasis in urban water management and adaptation to hydrological extremes (floods and droughts).

Requirements:

• PhD in Hydraulic or hydrologic engineering, water resources management or related areas (preferably degree granted in 2015 or upwards).
• Strong scientific production (JCR Journals or international conferences)
• Moderate programming background.
• Detailed CV, list of publications, awards and recognitions, and potential start date.
• Short statement of previous work, research interests and his/her future vision on the field.
• Names and contact information of three referees.
• PDF of a recent publication considered by the candidate as being representative of his/her research work.
• Excellent oral and writing skills in English.
